Video game has become over the years an essential media in the creation of fictional worlds. These digital realms offer interactive and immersive experiences that transform the way we consume these worlds. For this presentation, we will examine the special relationship between players and video game worlds, especially considering the video game culture in Japan, allowing us to capture this phenomenon in its global context.
