Dru Jeffries is a doctoral student at Concordia University, Montreal. His dissertation will present a theory of intertextuality and remediation specific to the comic book film. His other research interests include: digital/new media theory, animal rights in literature and film, the superhero genre in film, 3-D cinema, critical animal studies, and comics studies. He is currently holding a Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC). Dru also co-hosts a podcast about comic book films, 24 Panels Per Second, which can be found in iTunes.
